CCC'19 Local Arrangments

Venue

CCC'19 will be held July 18-20, 2019 at the Rutgers University College Avenue Campus, 15 Seminary Place, New Brunswick, NJ, Rutgers Academic Building, Room 2225. Note: Room 2225 is located in the East Wing of the building.

Program

The full program is available here. In addition to the invited talks, there are the following events:

Opening reception on Wednesday, July 17 at 7:30-10:00 at Panico's Restaurant. See map.
Business meeting on Thursday, July 18 at 5:45 PM, at the conference venue.
Rump session on Friday, July 19 at 5:45 PM, at the conference venue. If you are interested in making a presentation of 5-10 minutes to announce new results or present open problems, please e-mail a title to Periklis Papakonstantinou.

The registration desk for CCC 2019 will be near the conference venue and staffed from 8:30 AM until 4:00 PM on Wednesday, July 17 and again beginning at 8:00 AM on Thursday, July 18.

Please note you must also register for parking
Visitors may park in Lots 26, 30 & College Avenue Deck without permits. Conference attendees must use the link below to register for parking for the event. Until this process is completed your vehicle is not registered and you may receive a citation. Note that registered visitors can leave their cars overnight in the College Avenue Deck, but that Lots 26 and 30 can only be used during the day.

Rutgers faculty, staff, and students must park only in lots they are authorized to park in; special event parking does not apply to them.

Note: There is also metered parking along the street; if you choose to use this metered parking you will need to feed the meters.

Privacy policy

The registration information is used by the conference organizers to facilitate communication of registration confirmation and conference details, and for planning and running the event. Name, email address, status, and affiliation are shared with the executive committee of the Computational Complexity Foundation (CCF). Name and email address are used to determine the electorate for the CCF Board elections and for generating the ballots. Status and affiliation are used for statistics about conference attendance. Individual records are kept for no more than four years. Statistical data are kept indefinitely.

A block of rooms for has been set aside at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick (hotel is within walking distance from the train station) at a special rate of $149. The block covers the nights of July 16, 17, 18, and 19. The special rate is available until July 8, 2019.

Travel Allowances

In order to defray the costs of attending the conference, students and postdocs may apply for travel allowances. However, the deadline for applying has passed.

Visa

A visa to the US may be needed for attending the conference, e.g., for citizens of China, India, and Russia. This website has the exact rules. If a visa is needed, please get in touch with your local US consulate as soon as possible; the whole process may take several months. If you need an invitation letter, please email Nicole Clark.

Arriving in New Brunswick, New Jersey

By air: New Brunswick has excellent train connections to Newark Liberty International Airport a major East Coast air hub with many direct flights domestically and abroad. Newark Liberty has good rail connections to New Brunswick. New York’s John F. Kennedy (J.F.K.) and LaGuardia airports are also accessible via car and public transportation.

By car: Nearby highways include the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway; Interstate highways 1, 287, 95, and 78; State routes 18 and 130. Follow these detailed directions to the five campuses of Rutgers New Brunswick from nearby highways:

By rail: New Jersey Transit operates a major station in New Brunswick on the Northeast Corridor line; the station is a short hop from a main Amtrak rail station at Metropark in Iselin.

By bus: New Jersey Transit and Suburban Transit provide regular daily service, both local and to New York and Philadelphia.

Join CCF announcement list - This list is maintained by the President and Secretary of CCF. Mailing list members remain on the list until they request to be removed or their email address no longer works. The mailing list receives no more than a handful of messages per year, which are all announcements regarding CCC or CCF.
Join DIMACS Special Focus on Lower Bounds in Computational Complexity Mailing List - This list is maintained by DIMACS and announces events associated with the Special Focus on Lower Bounds in Computational Complexity. It is a relatively low-traffic mailing list used mainly for announcing special focus workshops.
